93G –  Causing danger with firearm or spear gun

If you are found to possess a loaded firearm or loaded spear gun in a public place, or any place where another life could be endangered; you fire a spear gun in or near a public place; you carry a spear gun or firearm in a reckless manner likely to cause injury to yourself or others then you are liable to imprisonment for 10 years.

You will not be found guilty of this offence if you can satisfy the court that you were in possession of the firearm/spear gun for legitimate purposes.
